About the Role
HBF is seeking a Deputy Company Secretary to support high-quality governance across the organisation. Reporting to the Company Secretary this is a rare opportunity tostep into a high-impact role with direct exposure to an accomplished Board and Executive Team.
Key responsibilities of this role include:
Workingat theheartof the organisation partnering closely with and advisingthe Board Executive Team and seniorleadership.
Leadingthe delivery of company secretarial services forBoard Committees Management Committees andsubsidiaryentities including agenda management paperreview minute-taking and action tracking.
Maintainingand developinggovernance frameworks policies charters and registers in accordance with regulatory requirements and best practice.
Contributing to HBFs AGM and Council Governance processes.
Supportingcompliance with APRA prudential standards and other regulatory obligations relevant to HBFs governance arrangements.
Drivingcontinuous improvementinHBFs governance practices as the organisation grows and the external environmentevolves.

About You
You are an experienced governance or company secretarial professional who thrives in a fast-paced highly regulated environmentand is passionate about improving governance practices and delivering quality outcomes.
Highly organised and calm under pressure you know how to proritise what matters and bring judgement discretion and exceptional attention to detail to your work.
Ideally you will have:
A tertiary qualification in law governance or a related discipline.
Significant experiencein a company secretarialor senior governance role ideally within financial services insurance or another APRA-regulated entity.
Demonstrated experience supporting BoardsorBoardCommittees at a large or complex organisation.
Exceptional written communication skills includingthe ability to preparecomplex minutes and governance papers.
Confidence and professionalism to engageand build relationshipswith Directors the CEO andExecutive Teamwith discretion and authority.
Membership of the Governance Institute of Australia or equivalentprofessional bodyis highly regarded.
Experience with board portal platforms such as Diligent is advantageous.
