Dental Assistant – Kingscliff

Coastal Dental Care has looked after Kingscliff families since 1969 from our practice at the Kingscliff Professional Centre on Pearl Street. Were part of a dentist-owned network of practices across the Gold Coast and Northern NSW so theres always a wider team to lean on but Kingscliff still feels like your local: nine modern surgeries undercover parking and a team thats looked after Kingscliff for decades.

This is a casual Dental Assistant role at our Kingscliff practice with up to 30 hours most weeks for the right person. Youll work chairside with Dr Arthur Lima who has a genuine interest in implantology and cosmetic dentistry. Were looking for an assistant whos comfortable in the sterilisation room and confident supporting implant and oral surgery procedures: someone who knows whats needed and has a desire for patients to receive the best care.

• Assist chairside through implant placements oral surgery and general restorative procedures
• Run the sterilisation room: clean package sterilise store and keep accurate digital records
• Set up and turn over treatment rooms instruments and materials to protocol
• Prepare patients for treatment and help them feel comfortable throughout
• Support with post-operative instructions and patient care after surgical procedures
• Help out at reception when needed if thats an area youve worked in before

• Experience in sterilisation and infection control protocols
• Experience assisting with implant and/or oral surgery procedures
• Certificate III or IV in Dental Assisting or working towards one
• Clear calm communication with patients and the team
• Professional presentation and up-to-date immunisations

• Experience in dental reception or front-desk duties
• Working knowledge of Dental4Windows (D4W)
• Comfortable working alongside a dentist with a busy implant and cosmetic caseload

• Casual role with real room to build to 30 hours most weeks
• Hands-on exposure to implant and oral surgery cases working directly with Dr Arthur Lima
