About the role
We are seeking an experiencedData Asset Management Coordinatorto lead the coordination and governance of a longitudinal linked data asset. This role is responsible for managing complex projects coordinating data linkage activities and working collaboratively with stakeholders across government research organisations and technical teams to ensure high-quality secure and compliant data management.
You will play a pivotal role in bringing together diverse stakeholdersincluding academic researchers data custodians technical specialists and policy teamsto deliver strategic outcomes while ensuring robust governance legislative compliance and effective project management.
This is an exciting opportunity for a confident project coordinator who thrives in a complex environment exercises sound judgement and knows when to independently resolve issues and when to escalate critical risks to senior leadership.

About you -
You are anorganised and confidentproject professional withstrong stakeholder engagementskills and experienceworking within complexgovernance environments. You can effectivelycoordinate multiple workstreams manage competing priorities and communicate witha broad rangeof technical andnon-technical stakeholders.
You will demonstrate:
- Experience coordinatingcomplex projects involvingmultiple stakeholders andcompeting priorities.
- Strong project managementskills including planning budgeting schedulingreporting and riskmanagement.
- Experience working withsensitive identifiable or linked datawithin robust governanceframeworks.
- Knowledge of datagovernance data assetmanagement privacy legislation and data sharingarrangements.
- Excellent written communicationskills with experiencepreparing executive briefs reports governance papers and correspondence.
- Strong relationship management negotiation and communicationskills.
- Experience working collaborativelywith technical teams researchers and businessstakeholders.
- The ability towork independently exercisesound judgement andconfidently escalate significantrisks or issueswhen appropriate.
- A continuous improvementmindset with experiencedesigning or improvingbusiness processes andgovernance mechanisms.
- Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Departments Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Departments Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.
Essential requirements of the role
- A valid clearance to work with children (Working with Children Check for paid employment).
- Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the value of public education.
