Data Analyst

• Partner directly with business and product initiatives (e.g. Broker Quoting Tool Embedded Finance) to frame the right questions design sound analyses and interpret results with appropriate statistical rigour
• Apply hypothesis-driven thinking to test assumptions systematically rule out alternative explanations and build cumulative contextual knowledge of the business over time going beyond what point-in-time AI querying can provide
• Build a track record of shipped analyses that demonstrably changed a decision or a teams understanding  not just dashboards or ad hoc fact-finding 
• Drive adoption of an experimentation mindset across teams: framing decisions as testable hypotheses tracking outcomes and building an evidence base that compounds across initiatives rather than resetting with each request 
• Own delivery of hypothesis-driven analyses from framing through to recommendation partnering with Data Engineering to consume the governed semantic layer rather than duplicating data prep 
• Work closely with the Data Architecture & Strategy Lead to prioritise analytical focus against the teams active strategic initiatives 

Qualifications :

• Strong grounding in hypothesis-driven analysis experimental design and statistical interpretation able to identify when a result is significant spurious or simply under-specified
• Experience partnering with business or product stakeholders on ambiguous open-ended questions tied to real initiatives not just servicing report requests 
• Comfort working with SQL and a governed semantic/data layer (e.g. dbt Databricks) to self-serve rather than depending on engineering for every data pull 
• A builders instinct for compounding knowledge  documenting reasoning and findings so insight persists and accumulates rather than being re-derived each time 
• Strong communication skills to translate analysis into a clear recommendation and a case for action for both technical and non-technical audiences 
• Experience in fintech lending or financial services highly regarded
