About the role:
We are seeking a motivated and personable Customer Service Assistant to join our clients team. If you enjoy working with people have a passion for quality food products and thrive in a busy retail setting this could be the perfect opportunity for you. Early starts and flexibility are essential as you assist with serving customers preparing products and supporting daily operations.

Key responsibilities:
- Provide friendly and professional customer service in-store and over the phone;both speaking and understanding English is necessary for this role
- Assist customers with product selection and general enquiries
- Prepare and package meat products accurately according to customer orders
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the shop and work areas
- Refill and organise displays and stock to ensure an appealing presentation
- Operate the cash register and process payments efficiently
- Support the team by organising deliveries pickups and receiving stock
- Follow all food safety and workplace health and safety procedures

Our ideal candidate will have:
- Strong English communication skills - again both speaking and understanding English is necessary for this role
- Previous experience in customer service preferably in retail or food environments
- Knowledge or experience handling meat or raw food products
- Familiarity with food safety hygiene and proper handling practices
- Ability to operate POS systems and handle cash transactions
- Excellent teamwork skills and a proactive attitude
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Australian citizenship permanent residency or a long-term visa with unrestricted work rights (student visas not accepted due to restrictions)
- Availability for early morning shifts Monday to Friday
