JOB DESCRIPTION
LiverpoolPowerhouse is a cultural facility for Liverpool City Council. The Centre basedin South West Sydney has four dedicated galleries across two sites (LiverpoolPowerhouse and Yellamundie Library). We are looking for a self-motivated andenthusiastic person to join our team as CuratorialAssistant Exhibitions Administrator for a period of 8 months.
The Curatorial Assistant and Exhibitions Administrator position is a crucialrole in the Curatorial and Collections team and be responsible for administrativeduties associated with the planning and successful realisation of exhibitionshosted at the Gallery or any subsequent touring venues.
Workingwith the Curatorial and Collections Team the position will also assist withdocumenting projects collection of information to draft loan agreementsliaise with artists and galleries assist with the grant applications andacquittals curatorial research and the coordination of the installation ofexhibitions as required.
ABOUT YOU
The successful applicants will be able to demonstrate their competency in the following essential areas:
- Appropriate qualifications and/or relevant experience in a similar role.
- Current Class C Drivers licence.
- Demonstrated experience in administrative processes and coordination of exhibitions and projects.
- Demonstrated experience in relation to contractual obligations lender agreements and procurement processes.
- Experience in research and delivery of contemporary art exhibitions including design and installation.
- Knowledge and experience in coordinating multiple projects and delivering project-based tasks and activities.
