Crew Rostering Officer

Location: Dry Creek Adelaide

• Permanent full-time role
• Monday to Friday day shift
• Previous experience in operational rostering logistical planning and using rostering systems

About the role:

As a Crew Rostering Officer youll play a key role in creating and maintaining efficient rosters for operational staff ensuring compliance safety and service delivery across multiple Aurizon locations.

• Prepare and manage efficient rosters including leave rosters for Operational Staff including Locomotive Drivers and Terminal Staff in line with rostering principles and relevant Enterprise Agreements
• Ensure compliance with the Rail Safety Management System including fatigue risk management and operational readiness
• Support crew efficiency through proactive rostering and use of the Crew Rostering Model
• Coordinate training and assessment schedules in collaboration with Training and Operations teams
• Monitor operational demands and adjust crew deployment resource allocation and service plans as needed
• Contribute to business improvement initiatives and support the team in meeting performance targets

About you:
Youre a detail-oriented team player with a strong safety mindset and a passion for efficient planning.

• Proven commitment to safety and demonstrated safe working behaviours
• Experience in operational rostering logistics planning and rostering systems and (ideally) systems testing
• Strong administrative and IT skills including advanced Microsoft Excel and rostering software
• Excellent time management communication and stakeholder engagement abilities
• Flexible collaborative and able to remain calm under pressure
