Job Summary

This part-time role works out of Karnetprison in the Peel region forming part of the Pathways Program. This is a CBTbased program over 100 hours per participant challenging established behavioursaround alcohol and other drug use. Sessions will be delivered in group settingswith occasional individual counselling involved.
About the role
- You will work in collaboration with our partner organisation delivering group counselling at various prisons.
- You will provide client assessments plannings interventions and case management.
- You will utilise extensive cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT) theories and methods to assist participants of the program with issues relating to AOD use and other behaviours
- You will develop and maintain professional and up to date client records and data.
- You will write professional and timely client reports outlining program engagement
This is a permanent part-timeposition of two and a half days per week. The role is based out of Karnet prisonand our Victoria Park office with the flexibility to work from other Holyoakelocations on occasion.
About you
- You hold a relevant tertiary qualification in Counselling Psychology or Social Work or have extensive experience in these fields.
- You have demonstrated experience working with or studying evidence-based AOD models and theories.
- You have excellent organisation and interpersonal skills.
- You work autonomously when needed and value being part of a strong connected team.
- You can form effective relationships and work collaboratively with co-facilitators.
- You hold or can obtain a current National Police Clearance no older than 12 months
- You are able to obtain a Department of Justice Screening Clearance.
- You hold a valid drivers license and access to your own vehicle.
