2 X Permanent Full-Time 35 hours 5 days/week over a 7-daybandwidth $83635.86 to $91643.51 Super

JOBDESCRIPTION:
CouncillorSupport Officer provides comprehensive highlevel administrative andoperational support to Councillors managing diaries coordinating meetingsprocessing information requests and ensuring all enquiries are trackedfollowed up and resolved in line with Council policy. It maintains robust correspondenceand records management systems oversees the daily operations of theCouncillors room and prepares a wide range of professional documentsincluding agendas minutes briefs information packs and weekly updates.

Youwill also coordinate travel accommodation registrations expensesprocurement and purchase orders while also managing the Councillor intranetand EDM communications. It supports Council meetings and events through agendadistribution minutetaking venue setup IT and catering arrangements anddiligent followup of action items. The role requires strong researchcapability discretion and professionalism in a complex political environmentalong with the ability to respond to urgent demands anticipate emergingissues maintain effective information flow and work flexibly to meet strictdeadlines.

ABOUTYOU:
To be successful in this role you will possess:

  • Qualifications in business administration or equivalent.
  • Current Class C Drivers Licence.
  • Experience in a local government political or corporate environment delivering effective and efficient administrative and corporate support.
  • Ability to liaise communicate and work cooperatively with all levels of Council.
  • Strong diary management/time management experience.
  • Demonstrated experience working autonomously and as part of a team.
  • Demonstrated experience using Microsoft office Nitro Pro and document management systems (i.e. TRIM and Pathways)
  • Experience in taking minutes.
  • Demonstrated experience working in a highly sensitive confidential environment and being discreet.
  • Proven ability in showing initiative in the workplace prioritise workloads meet deadlines and deliver quality outcomes.
