Corporate Finance Associate Renewable Energy Australia

A leading renewable energy developer is looking for a Corporate Finance Associate to join their in-house transactions team in Australia. Reporting to the CFO APAC you will support the full deal lifecycle across M&A and project finance working closely with senior leadership and external advisors on live transactions.

This is not a support role in name only. You will be across the modelling the process and the analysis that drives real capital decisions.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Build and maintain detailed financial models across M&A project finance and development-stage assets
  • Support acquisition and divestiture processes including valuation due diligence and data room management
  • Prepare investment committee papers pitch books and materials for external stakeholders and investors
  • Provide modelling outputs and scenario analysis to support PPA negotiations RFP responses and EPC procurement decisions
  • Coordinate transaction workstreams across internal teams lenders and external advisors
  • Contribute to strategic projects led by the finance function including capital structure analysis and investor presentations

What You Will Bring

  • 3 to 6 years of experience in investment banking corporate finance project finance or infrastructure advisory
  • Strong financial modelling capability across M&A valuation and project finance structures
  • Experience in energy infrastructure or utilities is preferred
  • Degree in Applied Finance Economics Commerce Engineering or a related discipline
  • High attention to detail with the ability to work accurately under transaction timelines
  • Clear and confident communicator comfortable presenting complex analysis to senior stakeholders
  • Proactive and hands-on someone who takes ownership of their workstreams
