The Project Coordinator Tertiary role is a position in Australia created to assist with coordinating KTFs tertiary projects which delivers high-quality teaching and active learning practical work experience and research to foster critical thinking and pathways to employment for teachers and health workers in PNG.
The position will work closely with KTFs Head of Tertiary to effectively implement the academic and non-academic activities associated with the operations of tertiary institutions in remote PNG.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Coordinate the procurement production distribution and inventory management of teaching learning and operational resources across college campuses.
Coordinate travel accommodation and logistics for program staff consultants and college personnel to support the delivery of project activities.
Coordinate catering accommodation and other operational arrangements for training workshops and residential program activities.
Support the implementation of human resource processes including recruitment onboarding documentation and compliance activities.
Coordinate the implementation and ongoing administration of key education systems including the Learning Management Systems Student Management Systems and Library Management Systems.
Maintain and monitor student information systems and databases identify data quality issues and work collaboratively with college leadership to strengthen student support processes.
Coordinate monitoring evaluation and learning (MEL) activities including the collection of quarterly data preparation of reports and development of program case studies.
Provide project coordination and administrative support to Program Managers and college leadership to ensure timely delivery of project milestones.
Coordinate the planning and delivery of training and capacity-building activities to strengthen staff capability in organisational systems policies and processes.
Support the development documentation and continuous improvement of operational processes procedures and reporting systems to ensure consistency and compliance.
Liaise with in-country project staff logistics personnel and external stakeholders to coordinate project activities and ensure effective program delivery across Papua New Guinea.
Coordinate the distribution and tracking of physical and digital resources to support teaching learning and operational requirements across multiple campus locations.
Facilitate effective communication and coordination between Balimo education programs to promote collaboration and information sharing.
Support Program Managers and the Chief Operating Officer in implementing HR policies maintaining personnel records and ensuring compliance with organisational procedures.
Coordinate the collection and analysis of program output and outcome data and contribute to donor reporting impact measurement and organisational learning.
Monitor project implementation against agreed work plans and timelines identifying risks and escalating issues where required.
Build and maintain effective working relationships with college staff government stakeholders development partners and service providers to support successful project delivery.
SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES:
Excellent organisational skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Strong capability with the use of Google Suite Microsoft Office including intermediate document and spreadsheet skills
General level of technology skills (Gmail Slack Project Monday Moodle Workplace)
Strong project coordination and administrative skills with the ability to plan organise and monitor project activities
High level of accuracy and attention to detail particularly in data management reporting and record keeping
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while also contributing effectively as part of a team
A tertiary qualification in project management international development business administration education health logistics or a related discipline. Or equivalent relevant professional experience.
Applicants must have the right to work in Australia. This position will require travel both domestically and internationally to PNG from time to time.
