JOBDESCRIPTION
Lead thestrategic management maintenance and development of Councils CBD facilitiesassets and car parks. This role oversees asset lifecycle planning capitalworks programs maintenance activities and contractor performance to ensureassets are safe compliant functional and meet community expectations. Theposition also provides strong leadership to the team drives continuousimprovement initiatives and builds effective relationships with internalstakeholders consultants and contractors to support the delivery ofhigh-quality services and infrastructure outcomes.

ABOUTYOU
The successful candidate will possess thefollowing:

• Tertiary qualifications in Architecture Building Construction Project Management Facilities Management or related discipline.
• Current Construction Industry Induction Card (White Card) and Class C Drivers License.
• Minimum 10 years experience in hard and soft facilities and asset management including complex building and asset lifecycle management.
• Proven experience delivering capital works programs and managing project scope budgets schedules quality safety and environmental outcomes.
• Demonstrated expertise in preparing specifications tender documentation and administering contracts.
• Experience managing consultants contractors and multidisciplinary project teams.
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to build effective relationships across government industry and the community.
• Demonstrated leadership experience with a proven ability to develop and lead high-performing teams.
• Sound knowledge of asset management planning building and recreational infrastructure and asset lifecycle strategies. Strong understanding of relevant legislation standards and compliance requirements including the Building Code of Australia National Construction Code Disability Discrimination Act and heritage approval processes.
• Knowledge of local government operations procurement practices construction administration and Work Health and Safety requirements.
• Commitment to ethical conduct diversity inclusion and continuous improvement.
