We are seeking a dedicated Cook to join our busy health care catering this rewarding role you will help prepare and deliver nutritious high-quality meals that support the health recovery and wellbeing of our patients.
Working on a rotating roster across breakfast lunch and dinner services you will thrive in a fast-paced commercial kitchen environment where attention to detail food safety and teamwork are essential. While the role can be demanding it offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of patients every day.
- Prepare and cook meals in accordance with recipes menu plans and patient dietary requirements.
- Assist in the timely production of breakfast lunch and dinner services.
- Ensure all food is prepared presented and portioned to a high standard.
- Maintain strict food safety hygiene and infection control practices.
- Work collaboratively with the catering team to meet meal service schedules and patient needs.
- Assist with stock rotation food storage and maintaining a clean and organised kitchen.
- Support a positive patient experience through quality food preparation and service.
- Previous experience as a Cook in a commercial kitchen healthcare aged care hospitality or catering environment.
- Sound knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet service deadlines.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Flexible availability to work rotating shifts including weekends and public holidays.
- A genuine commitment to supporting patient care through quality nutrition.
- Relevant food handling or food safety qualifications
