About the Role

Were looking for a Compliance Officer to support the delivery of effective compliance across our Energy Management & B2B (EM&B2B) activities in ANZ.

In this role youll help build and maintain a practical and fit-for-purpose compliance framework while contributing to a positive culture of integrity and accountability. Working alongside Legal Regulatory and Commercial teams youll play an important role in ensuring regulatory obligations are understood managed and embedded into day-to-day operations.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Acting as a key contact for compliance regulatory and ethical matters across EM&B2B ANZ
  • Supporting the implementation and ongoing improvement of compliance frameworks and processes
  • Monitoring and helping manage regulatory obligations across energy and financial markets
  • Contributing to compliance risk reviews and supporting actions to address identified risks
  • Partnering with stakeholders to provide guidance on new products trading activities and commercial initiatives
  • Assisting with compliance training reporting and engagement with regulators and industry groups

About You

You are someone who enjoys working collaboratively and brings a thoughtful practical approach to compliance. Youre comfortable navigating complex environments and building strong relationships across teams.

  • Experience in compliance regulatory legal risk or a related area
  • An interest in or knowledge of energy markets trading or financial services
  • Understanding of regulatory frameworks (e.g. AFSL AML/CTF AER AEMO) is helpful
  • Ability to interpret information and apply it in a practical business-focused way
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative working style
  • Comfortable working with a range of stakeholders across different functions
  • A relevant qualification in Law Commerce Risk Compliance or similar (or equivalent experience)
