Whatsthe role

As a CompanySecretary CorporateGovernanceyou willsupport the Head of Corporate Governance & Policybyproviding corporate governance guidance to Business Partners and in delivering key corporate governance deliverables strategic matters and special projects relevant to our stakeholders (including the Westpac Board).

Key responsibilities:

  • Supportthepreparation of Westpacs Corporate Governance Statement including stakeholder engagement
  • CoordinateSecretariatscontributions to half-year and full-year financial reporting
  • Assist with Directordisclosurestatementsand onboarding processes
  • Support delivery ofWestpacsAnnual General Meeting
  • CompleteASXannouncements and regulatory filings
  • Provide guidance on APRAprudential standardCPS510:Governance
  • Develop andmaintaincompliant internal policies and procedures
  • Offer governance advice and support Group Secretariat projects asrequired

What do I need

  • 5 plus yearsExperienceworking in company secretariat/governance or corporate legal fields ideally withASX-listed companies
  • An understanding of the Corporations Act ASX Listing Rules and ASX Corporate Governance Principles and Recommendations
  • Demonstrated capability to manage projects on an end-to-end basis
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills both written and verbal
  • A diligent approach to completing tasks and strong attention to detail
