The Position

The CommunityEngagement Officer supports the delivery of inclusive and meaningful engagementinitiatives that strengthen renter connection participation and overallsatisfaction across HousingFirst communities. Working under the guidance of theCoordinator Community Engagement the role contributes to the planning anddelivery of activities that foster a sense of belonging and support positiverenter experiences.

Working closelywith residents site teams and community partners the Community EngagementOfficer helps build strong relationships at a local level and encourages renterparticipation in programs and initiatives. The role contributes to maintainingsafe inclusive and connected communities by supporting day to day engagementactivities and identifying opportunities to enhance renter experience.

This role is paid in line with SCHADS 4.1 at $88980.43 perannum plus superannuation and access to salary packaging.

Responsibilities

-Collaboratewithin the team by contributing to meetings partnering with internal teamssharing ideas to improve practices and fostering a respectful teamenvironment.

-Buildand maintain positive relationships with residents and stakeholders byresponding to enquiries and representing the organisation where required.

-Supportthe planning and delivery of engagement programs by coordinating logisticsassisting with events capturing feedback and identifying opportunities toimprove participation.

-Maintainaccurate records and supports engagement communications and reporting bypreparing materials and managing and providing data.

-Contribute to an effective collaborative andinclusive Community Engagement team.

As our ideal candidate you will have:

-Desire to be part of a values driven andcommunity focussed organisation

-Relevanttertiary qualifications in community development events management propertyor a related field are highly regarded.

-Demonstrated experience supporting community engagement participationor community development activities within a community services socialhousing local government or not-for-profit environment.

-Experience engaging directly with residents community members orstakeholders in face-to-face and community-based settings.

-Experience supporting the delivery of community programs events orconsultations including practical and logistical support.

-Demonstrated ability to maintain accurate records collect participationdata and contribute information for reporting purposes.

-Flexible and adaptable with a willingness to work across differentlocations activities and community settings as required.
