Job Summary
We are looking for a caring proactive and people-oriented Community and Events Assistant to support the delivery of engaging events and community programs.
In this role you will work closely with elderly clients providing social interaction companionship and emotional support through daily engagement and activities. You will play an important part in creating a warm inclusive and positive community environment.

- Assist in planning coordinating and delivering events and community programs
- Support event logistics including bookings transport arrangements material preparation and on-site setup
- Provide on-site support to ensure smooth event execution
- Assist in facilitating or supporting activities when required
- Support volunteer coordination and related administrative tasks
- Engage with elderly clients during activities and daily programs
- Provide friendly companionship through conversations and social interaction
- Build positive relationships with clients to enhance participation
- Create a welcoming and inclusive community environment
- Encourage clients to actively participate in activities
- Assist in organising community activities including:
- Social group sessions
- Outings and short trips
- Recreational and cultural activities (e.g. choir mahjong cooking)
- Support communication and coordination with participants
- Collect feedback and assist with continuous improvement
- Work closely with internal teams to support program delivery
- Participate in weekend activities when required (TOIL provided)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to build rapport with elderly clients
- Good organisational skills
- Positive attitude and team player
- Fluent in Mandarin Cantonese and English
- Experience in aged care community services or related industries
- Experience in event coordination or customer service
- Basic social media or content creation skills
- Relevant experience in community services events or customer service (no formal qualification required)
- Valid drivers licence (preferred)
- Valid working rights in Australia
- Police Check
- Vaccination records
- Contribute to a positive team culture
- Follow organisational values and industry standards
- Participate in training and development
- Undertake other reasonable duties as required
