HealthWISE is seeking a Communications Manager to lead our communications team and strategy while strengthening stakeholder connections and visibility for our growing organisation.

About the role

The Communications Manager is HealthWISEs communication strategist and connector responsible for ensuring our services partnerships achievements and priorities are communicated effectively to the communities and stakeholders we serve.

Working across the organisation you will develop a strong understanding of HealthWISEs services strategic priorities and community needs providing expert communication advice and support to help teams translate their work into meaningful messages and outcomes.

You will lead the development and implementation of communication and engagement strategies that strengthen HealthWISEs visibility reputation and community connections. By identifying the right audiences messages and channels you will help ensure our work is understood valued and accessible across the communities we support.

As the leader of the Communications Team you will champion a coordinated consistent and culturally responsive approach to communication supporting effective engagement with clients communities partners funders and other key stakeholders.

About you

Essential:

• Relevant tertiary qualifications in communications public relations marketing or a related discipline or substantial equivalent experience in a communications role.
• Experience developing implementing and evaluating communication strategies
• Work collaboratively with multiple teams and stakeholders
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrated experience leading supporting and developing a team
• Current unrestricted and unencumbered Australian drivers license
• Proficiency in using Microsoft 365 applications and relevant digital tools

Desirable

• Knowledge of rural regional and remote health issues.
• Experience supporting advocacy activities.
• Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud
• Experience overseeing website/ digital transformation projects.
