About the Role

We are seeking a creative and driven Communications Officer to join our Strategic Communication and Advocacy team. This is a great opportunity for an emerging communications professional to bring RAQs services impact and people to life through compelling storytelling while contributing to meaningful social outcomes for Queensland communities.

As the Communications Officer you will create coordinate and publish engaging content across a range of channels including social media websites digital platforms campaigns and internal communications. You will support the delivery of organisational campaigns and change initiatives and help maintain a strong consistent brand presence.

Additionally you will:

  • Create and publish internal content (Viva Engage intranet newsletters videos) and support event comms like staff forums and roadshows.
  • Create external content including social media website copy articles case studies videos and promotional materials that showcase RAQs services and impact.
  • Support campaigns track performance and adjust content based on data.
  • Keep brand and messaging consistent across all channels.
  • Maintain content calendars and report on communication performance.

About You

Youre an emerging communications professional with a passion for storytelling and audience-focused content. You have experience creating engaging content across digital and social media channels and writing for a variety of audiences and platforms. You bring strong organisational skills high attention to detail and the ability to build positive working relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.

Additionally you have:

  • Undergraduate level qualification in Communication digital media or a related discipline and/or demonstrated experience in a relevant field.
  • Experience coordinating communication activities campaigns or projects and managing content calendars across multiple channels.
  • Demonstrated experience monitoring measuring and reporting on communication performance and adapting content in response to data and insights.
  • Understanding of communication marketing and digital engagement principles including accessibility and inclusive communication practices.
