About the Project
ACCIONA is delivering major water infrastructure projects across Australia including large-scale desalination and wastewater treatment facilities. These projects involve advanced membrane technologies complex MEICA systems and high-performance operational requirements contributing to critical water security outcomes.

About the Opportunity
We are seeking a highly experienced Commissioning Lead to support the commissioning and start-up of major water infrastructure projects. This role will be instrumental in final mobilisation commissioning execution and operational handover working closely with engineering construction automation and operations teams to ensure safe and efficient plant delivery.

Key accountabilities

  • Lead and execute commissioning start-up and performance testing of water treatment facilities including desalination and wastewater systems
  • Apply process engineering expertise to optimise system performance membrane efficiency energy use and water quality outcomes
  • Coordinate MEICA commissioning activities across electrical instrumentation and automation disciplines
  • Work with SCADA/DCS systems to support logic testing loop tuning alarm rationalisation and optimisation
  • Lead troubleshooting and root-cause analysis during commissioning and early operations
  • Support Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) performance validation and project handover requirements
  • Prepare and review commissioning procedures reports and operating documentation
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to operators and maintenance teams during ramp-up
  • Ensure all commissioning activities comply with HSE environmental and regulatory requirements
  • Coordinate with contractors OEMs and internal stakeholders to meet commissioning milestones

Required Skills and Competencies

  • 10 years experience in commissioning and/or process engineering within water infrastructure projects
  • Tertiary qualifications in Chemical Engineering Process Engineering or similar (preferred)
  • Strong experience delivering large-scale desalination and membrane-based systems (RO UF NF)
  • Proven expertise working with automation and control systems (SCADA/DCS)
  • Demonstrated experience in commissioning complex multidisciplinary infrastructure projects
  • Strong analytical troubleshooting and problem-solving capability
  • High commitment to safety quality and operational excellence
  • Ability to operate effectively in high-pressure fast-paced project environments
  • Willingness to relocate or work FIFO depending on project requirements
