About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Building & Construction Estimator to join a growing commercial construction team delivering major Tier 1 mining infrastructure (NPI) projects across Western Australia.

Working alongside project managers engineers and senior stakeholders you will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive tenders for projects ranging from $1 million to $30 million. This is a fast-paced role where youll manage multiple tenders simultaneously while ensuring quality profitability and client expectations are achieved.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates and tender submissions for commercial and mining infrastructure projects.
  • Review drawings specifications and contract documentation.
  • Complete quantity take-offs and detailed cost analysis.
  • Obtain and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations.
  • Develop accurate pricing for labour plant materials and subcontract packages.
  • Identify project risks opportunities and value engineering solutions.
  • Liaise with clients consultants suppliers and internal project teams throughout the tender process.
  • Manage multiple tenders concurrently while meeting strict submission deadlines.
  • Assist with tender handovers to project delivery teams following successful awards.
  • Maintain estimating databases and current market pricing information.
About You
  • Previous experience as a Commercial or Construction Estimator.
  • Strong background estimating commercial building industrial or mining infrastructure projects.
  • Experience pricing projects valued between $1M and $30M.
  • Ability to successfully manage multiple tenders at varying stages simultaneously.
  • Strong understanding of Australian construction methodologies contracts and procurement processes.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • High attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficient in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Desirable Experience
  • Experience delivering Tier 1 mining projects.
  • Knowledge of Non-Process Infrastructure (NPI) construction.
  • Exposure to design and construct (D&C) contracts.
  • Quantity Surveying Construction Management or related tertiary qualification.
