About the role:
As a Credit Analyst at Shift youll be a crucial part of our customers journeys carefully reviewing credit applications from both customers and brokers. With a keen eye for detail youll look at bank statements financial documents and other key information to help determine each applicants creditworthiness and suggest the right lending options. Your expertise will not only help us manage risk but also contribute to outstanding outcomes for our customers.

What youll do:
Review and assess commercial credit applications by analysing financial statements bank records and other important data
Connect with applicants and brokers over the phone to gather information and discuss loan requirements
Deliver accurate and thorough credit assessments recommending lending limits that fit Shifts approach
Make sure every customer application is matched with the right products and services
Keep detailed records of risk factors and ways to manage them supporting confident decision-making
Develop strong relationships with internal teams customers and brokers to support business growth
Follow credit underwriting guidelines and compliance standards and maintain accurate data in our systems
Team up with Relationship Managers and Sales teams offering support coaching and mentorship
Look for ways to improve our processes and service helping the whole team work more efficiently
What youll bring:
Previous experience with Delegated Lending Authority in commercial or business lending
Strong business sense with a solid grasp of the SME market
Proven ability to deliver excellent customer service
Experience analysing commercial credit through financial and bank statements (bonus points for familiarity with non-traditional data!)
A sharp analytical mindset with great attention to detail
Background in risk or analytics roles or experience with finance products in point-of-sale settings is a plus but not required
Fantastic communication skills and the ability to build lasting relationships
A dedication to compliance and ensuring data accuracy
