CNC Team Leader

RPR Trades is currently recruiting for a CNC Team Leader to join a well-established precision engineering business based in Croydon South.

This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong CNC professional who is confident on the machines has leadership experience and can step onto the floor and support production from day one.

The business operates in a high-quality precision CNC environment producing components for specialised industries including aerospace defence and precision manufacturing.

This role will suit an experienced Senior CNC Machinist CNC Setter Programmer CNC Leading Hand or CNC Team Leader who enjoys working in a high-spec manufacturing environment and supporting others on the floor.

You will be joining a team that values technical capability quality workmanship leadership and the ability to keep production moving safely and efficiently.

• Monday to Thursday: 7:00am 3:30pm
• Friday: 7:00am 1:00pm
• Day shift only
• Permanent opportunity

You will need strong experience in one or more of the following:

• Swiss sliding head / sliding headstock machines
• CNC multi-tasking / mill-turn machinery
• Horizontal machining centres
• Precision machining and tight tolerance work
• Aerospace defence medical or high-spec manufacturing
• CNC setting programming troubleshooting and production support
• Leading hands mentoring operators or supporting production teams

The successful candidate will be someone who can confidently support the workshop floor assist with technical machine-related questions mentor team members and help ensure production runs to a high standard.

You will bring:

• Strong CNC machining background
• Proven experience in a senior leading hand or team leader capacity
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
• Strong quality and accuracy focus
• Good communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work safely and professionally in a precision manufacturing environment
• Confidence to step into the role and make an impact quickly
