Immediate interview and start

We are seeking a Cloud Platform Engineer Lead with deep expertise in AWS Kubernetes (EKS) Infrastructure as Code and cloud operations to help manage support and continuously improve our cloud-based Manufacturing Execution System (MES) environments.

In this role you will be responsible for maintaining highly available secure and scalable AWS infrastructure while driving operational excellence across production and non-production environments.

Responsibilities

AWS & Kubernetes Platform Management

  • Investigate and resolve infrastructure issues across AWS-hosted environments.
  • Support and maintain Kubernetes (EKS) clusters networking security groups EFS Kafka and containerized applications.
  • Perform root cause analysis of platform incidents and validate solutions through testing and monitoring.
  • Drive platform stability reliability and continuous improvement initiatives.

Cloud Infrastructure & CI/CD

  • Implement and manage infrastructure changes using Terraform and automated deployment pipelines.
  • Maintain AWS services including ECR repositories IAM policies and deployment configurations.
  • Identify and mitigate platform risks related to AWS architecture service limits security and operational resilience.
  • Support cloud-native deployment practices and infrastructure automation.

Monitoring & Operational Excellence

  • Develop and maintain dashboards health checks monitoring solutions and operational documentation.
  • Leverage CloudWatch CloudTrail K9s and platform telemetry to proactively identify and resolve issues.
  • Support both production and non-production environments through effective monitoring and operational support.
  • Contribute to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and incident management processes.

Technical Leadership & Knowledge Sharing

  • Mentor engineers and support teams through troubleshooting incident investigations and best practices.
  • Facilitate technical workshops and knowledge-sharing sessions.
  • Document platform architecture support procedures and operational standards.
  • Provide expert guidance on AWS architecture deployment strategies and cloud operations.

Required skills

  • Proven experience supporting AWS cloud environments in enterprise-scale environments.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes (EKS) and containerized workloads.
  • Experience with Terraform Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Knowledge of AWS services including IAM ECR CloudWatch CloudTrail VPC networking and security controls.
  • Experience supporting distributed systems Kafka EFS and cloud-native architectures.
  • Strong troubleshooting problem-solving and incident management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across technical and business teams.
  • A passion for automation continuous improvement and operational excellence.
