Your New Role and Responsibilities
We are seeking a Cloud Security Engineer to join our Digital Modernisation Division working in complex multi-vendor technology environments within a supportive and collaborative team. This is a 12 month maximum tenure contract role.
This role focuses on enabling secure-by-design cloud landing zones and requires a proactive approach to problem solving strong communication and a passion for continuous learning. Youll play a key role in optimising cloud configurations and consumption while maintaining strong security posture across environments.
Key Responsibilities
Design and implement security guardrails across cloud landing zones aligned with enterprise security and compliance requirements
Conduct continuous cloud security posture assessments to identify and address misconfigurations vulnerabilities and compliance gaps
Identify analyse and prioritise cloud risks implementing remediation strategies to reduce overall exposure
Embed security controls into CI/CD pipelines infrastructure-as-code workflows and platform services to enable secure-by-design delivery
Collaborate closely with cloud platform and engineering teams to integrate security practices across the full lifecycle and drive continuous improvement
About You and What Youll Bring
Demonstrated ability to design and implement security controls within cloud landing zones supporting secure and scalable environments
Experience identifying assessing and remediating cloud security risks across platforms including misconfigurations and vulnerabilities
Strong understanding of cloud landing zone architecture including governance identity networking and security guardrails
Experience using CSPM / CNAPP tools to monitor and improve cloud security posture with exposure to automation and policy-as-code approaches
Ability to apply structured problem solving in complex environments while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams
This role does require the successful applicant to be an Australian Citizen and be able to gain and maintain a Baseline level security clearance.
