TheCooindaMental Health inpatient unit isa state-of-the-art33-bed acute unit for those aged 18 and over. With private well-equipped rooms patients have use of the dining room laundry lounge areas visitors lounge outdoor areas music room art and craft room therapyroomsand gymnasium. Our service provides assessment and evidence-based treatment for patients experiencing mood disorders anxiety disorders post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD)/trauma eating disorders psychotic disorders addictions complex needs due to a mental illness as well as young adult and older persons mental health needs.

Your part in ourBuderim Hospital team
As part of ourCooindaMental Health team youwillaccountable for the provision of safe and holistic care to individuals and their families applying best clinical practice and ensuring a safe environment foroptimalpatient outcomes.Youlldeliver exceptional person-centred care by working collaboratively with your multidisciplinary team applying exceptional communication and customer service skills.
The Group Facilitator/Clinical Nurse is responsible as part of the Program team for the delivery ofevidencedbased group therapy to Day Patients andInpatients ofCooindaMental Health Service.
You will provide supervision and guidance within a multi-disciplinary team through effective decision making and support.You will lead by example through exceptional communication customerserviceand patient advocacy.
What makes a difference for us
Minimum of 5 years relevant clinical experience inacute mental health
Bachelor of nursing degree or equivalent and AHPRA registration
Post Registration qualification inevidence basedtherapiesegCBT DBT
Demonstrated Ability to provide leadershipsupportand mentorship
Commitment to ongoing professional development
Experience in Delivery of inpatient and day program groups
Flexibility to work full 24/7 rotating roster
Willingness to obtain required vaccinations in line with hospitals infection control requirements as well asundergo nationalcriminal historycheck and functional assessment
