Working across a diverse range of surgical specialties you will provide clinical support promote evidence-based practice and help create a positive learning culture focused on excellence and continuous improvement.

About the opportunity

As a Clinical Nurse Educator within our Surgical Ward you will support nursing excellence by delivering education mentorship and clinical guidance. Working alongside the Nurse Unit Manager Hospital Nurse Educator and clinical teams you will build staff capability promote evidence-based practice and contribute to a culture of continuous learning and quality improvement.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Delivering and evaluating clinical education programs to support best practice and patient outcomes.
  • Providing clinical guidance coaching and support to nursing staff.
  • Supporting staff orientation transition and ongoing professional development.
  • Identifying education needs and promoting evidence-based practice.
  • Contributing to quality improvement research and clinical governance activities.
  • Fostering a positive culture of teamwork learning and professional growth.

Who Were Looking For

We are seeking a Clinical Nurse Educator who is passionate about supporting nursing excellence and professional development. You will bring:

  • Strong surgical nursing experience and clinical expertise.
  • Experience in or a commitment to developing skills in clinical education and staff support.
  • Excellent communication teamwork and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage priorities while contributing to a positive learning culture.

Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
