Clinical Assistant
Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Casual Clinical Imaging Assistant to join ourDarling Downsteam. This role supports radiographers and clinical staff in delivering high-quality patient care across a range of imaging modalities. You will play a vital role in patient preparation clinical assistance and maintaining a safe and efficient imaging environment.
About the Role
As aCasual Clinical Assistant you will provide essential support to our clinical team of Radiographer Sonographers and Nurses while ensuring patients receive a high standard of care.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting radiographers and other clinical staff during imaging procedures
- Supporting patient care by understanding relevant clinical backgrounds and ensuring accurate patient identification
- Preparing and supporting patients before during and after imaging examinations
- Undertaking patient cannulation and preparation for imaging across multiple modalities including CT MRI Ultrasound X-ray and interventional procedures
- Obtaining and confirming patient consent in accordance with clinical and organisational policies
- Patient transport and provision of general clinical assistance
- Maintaining a clean safe and well-organised clinical environment
- Stock management and preparation of imaging equipment
- Adhering to infection control standards and workplace health and safety requirement
About You
- Previous experience in a healthcare or clinical setting (desirable but not essential)
- Certificate III or IV in Health Services Assistance or similar (preferred but not required)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Professional compassionate and patient-focused
- Flexible availability and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Reliable with a strong work ethic
