Chief Operating Officer – Lead Change and Drive People-Centered Growth

This is not a traditional operations role. We need someone who can design systemslead people build high performing teams and drive excellence.

About the Role

The Chief Operating Officer (COO) is a key executive leader primarily responsiblefor driving the organisations operational excellence.

The Chief Operating Officer position (COO) reports directly to the CEO and is accountable for the effective delivery of operational and service functions across the organisation. Through a collaborative and values-driven lens the COO provides strategic and operational leadership to ensure services are high quality customer-focused financially sustainable and compliant with allregulatory and safeguarding requirements.

Key responsibilities of the role include:

• Strategic leadership over the organisations operations modelling integrity accountability and values-based decision-making.
• Overseeing the effective delivery of services ensuring they are customer-centred safe high quality and accessible within the bounds of contractual funding and compliance requirements.
• Monitoring operational performance customer outcomes and supporting organisationalsustainability through robust planning effective resource and budget management.
• Strengthening relationships with funders government agencies sector partners customers and community stakeholders.
• Ensuring service delivery is customer centric and prioritises quality safeguarding humanrights clinical care and governance.
• Driving innovation through designing new services programs models of care andeffective use of ICT and digital solutions that improve service delivery and workforce performance.
• Overseeing the management of risk and governance frameworks to ensure operational integrity and compliance.
• Leading coaching and developing experienced service teams and motivating them to achievequality customer outcomes.
• Driving strategic initiatives as part of the WA Blue Sky Strategic Plan.

About You

To be successful in this role you will bring

• Qualifications in Business Management Health Disability Services or related discipline(essential). MBA or equivalent is highly desirable.
• Minimum 5 years of significant executive leadership experience in complex multi-sitecustomer-focused organisations.
• Proven ability to lead operational and service delivery functions.
• Demonstrated success in driving organisational performance continuous improvement and including leading change and organisational transformation.
• Strong financial management skills and commercial acumen with the ability to balancestrategic and operational priorities.
• In-depth understanding of governance regulatory compliance and risk management.
• Proven success in fostering a culture of innovation accountability collaborationand person-centred practice.
• Exceptional interpersonal negotiation and stakeholder engagement skills.
• High-level strategic thinking analytical and problem-solving capability with theability to translate strategy into operational results.

Desirable Criteria

• Experience in disability aged care health or community services.
• Experience in a similar COO or senior executive role.
• Growth and opportunity mindset.
• Ideal candidate will either have a clinical background or is a senior business leader.(non-clinician) with knowledge of clinical governance and risk in a complex human services setting.
