Job Summary
We have an exciting opportunity for aChef De Partie to join the team at Golden Fleece in Meltonon a Casual basis.
Youll work with a solid kitchen team who know how to get the job done back each other and still have a laugh when things get hectic. From prep to pass its hands-on fast-paced and never boring.
The Golden Fleece Hotel is a favourite Melton local for all to enjoy!
Featuring modern facilities including a family friendly bistro with both indoor and outdoor dining areas for all to enjoy. Along with an extensive modern menu with daily specials the Golden Fleece Hotel caters to both children and adults alike.
What Youll Be Doing In The Kitchen
- Maintaining control and leadership in the kitchen during service times in allocated sections.
- Assist with the induction of new employees when required.
- Maintain professional relationships with external supplies.
- Prepare and cook menu as per cooking guidelines and set standards.
- Work in conjunction with the head chef to develop and implement a menu.
- Ensure all staff follow safety procedures.
The role you are applying for may be quite fast-paced and require you to complete tasks including but not limited to lifting boxes kegs or stock standing for long periods of time and utilising stairs.
What Were Looking For
- Cert III or IV in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent experience in the real world)
- Food Allergens and Do Food Safely Certificate
- Experience in a busy pub bistro or high-volume kitchen
- Solid understanding of basic cooking methods and how to execute a recipe properly
- Willingness to work a rotating roster including nights weekends and public holidays

This is a fast-paced hands-on hospitality leadership role. It may involve standing for long periods moving stock lifting boxes or kegs and navigating stairs throughout the venue.
