Chef de Partie

Lasseters Hotel Casino is looking for a passionate and experienced Chef de Partie to join our Kitchen team.

About the Role

Reporting to the Executive Chef you will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of your assigned kitchen section ensuring meals are prepared to the highest standards while maintaining food safety hygiene and quality. You will also support and train junior kitchen staff and contribute to the smooth operation of the kitchen.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and present high-quality meals in line with company standards.
• Manage your designated kitchen section during service.
• Monitor food quality from preparation through to presentation.
• Prepare and organise mise en place for service.
• Maintain high standards of food safety hygiene and cleanliness.
• Assist with menu preparation stock control ordering and minimising waste.
• Train and mentor apprentices junior chefs and kitchen stewards.
• Work collaboratively with the wider kitchen and front-of-house teams.
• Follow all workplace health and safety policies and procedures.

About You

To be successful in this role you will have:

• A Trade Certificate in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent).
• Previous experience as a Chef de Partie or in a similar role.
• A passion for quality food and attention to detail.
• Strong organisational and time management skills.
• The ability to work well under pressure in a busy kitchen.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Knowledge of food safety hygiene and WHS requirements.
• A positive attitude and willingness to learn and support others.
