Job Summary

The Opportunity:

Newcastle Anglican has an exciting opportunity for a seasoned Change Specialist to join the People & Culture team. You will be responsible for establishing and maintaining effective change governance standards and advisory mechanisms cross the organisation that enable consistent well-informed and sustainable change across the diverse entities within Newcastle Anglican.

This is a Full-Time Permanent position.

What are we looking for

  • Establish maintain and continuously improve Newcastle Anglicans organisational change management framework standards tools and governance processes to support consistent high-quality change practice across the organisation.
  • Provide expert change governance advice to Executive Sponsors Project Sponsors Project Managers and business leaders to ensure people impacts change risks and readiness considerations are identified early and addressed through appropriate governance forums.
  • Develop and embed change governance checkpoints within business case project initiation implementation and post-implementation review processes ensuring change impacts and adoption readiness inform key decisions.
  • Provide strategic advice and coaching to leaders and project teams on effective change leadership stakeholder engagement communication workforce readiness and adoption approaches.
  • Review and provide assurance over workforce and change strategies and plans developed by project teams or external partners ensuring they are fit-for-purpose proportionate to risk and aligned with organisational priorities.
  • Maintain oversight of change impacts across the project portfolio identifying cumulative change load competing priorities emerging risks and opportunities to sequence or adjust change activity.
  • Develop change insights and reporting for Executive Sponsors and relevant governance forums including adoption risks stakeholder readiness implementation confidence and portfolio-level change capacity.
  • Build organisational change capability by developing guidance templates learning resources and communities of practice that enable leaders and teams to apply consistent change principles.
  • Partner with Communications People & Culture Learning and Development Risk Quality and operational leaders to ensure change governance aligns with workforce service quality compliance and organisational risk requirements.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of change practice across the organisation using lessons learned stakeholder feedback and adoption outcomes to strengthen future change governance and advisory services.

About you

  • A current Working with Children check (with clearance to work with children)
  • A current NDIS Check
  • National Police Check (Newcastle Anglican will consider the relevance of any reported outcomes)
  • Current drivers licence
  • Change management qualifications (Prosci or similar) (desired)
  • Demonstrated high level experience leading change in complex environments
  • Proven success developing documenting and evaluating change management strategies frameworks tools standards and interventions that support consistent and sustainable change practice
  • Experience establishing or contributing to change governance mechanisms
  • Strong capability in change planning business transition resistance mitigation and managing multiple high-priority deliverables
  • Highly developed consultative influencing and communication skills with the ability to provide strategic advice and navigate sensitive complex or high-risk organisational issues
  • Experience integrating change management with project or portfolio delivery
