About the role
As a Change Manager within AEMOs Enterprise Change Practice you will support the delivery of critical initiatives within the Western Australia (WA) Portfolio that are helping shape a secure reliable affordable and lower-emissions energy future for Western Australians. Working within a matrix environment and reporting to the Portfolio Change Manager you will lead end-to-end change management activities across complex market reform operational and technology initiatives that support the evolution of WAs energy systems and markets. This includes key programs such as the Reserve Capacity Mechanism (RCM) and Distributed Energy Resources (DER) integration.
Partnering with project teams business and technical stakeholders you will develop and deliver change strategies stakeholder engagement communications training and business readiness activities that enable successful adoption support stakeholder preparedness and drive the realisation of project benefits. This role is ideal for an experienced Change Management professional who can operate independently influence diverse stakeholder groups and deliver high-quality change outcomes in a dynamic and highly technical environment.
What you will be doing
- Lead the development and delivery of pragmatic fit-for-purpose change strategies and plans applying AEMOs Enterprise Change Management Framework to support regulatory reforms and project outcomes.
- Deliver change management artefacts and governance requirements to support project phase gates ensuring alignment with Enterprise Portfolio Office (EPO) and Enterprise Change Practice standards.
- Partner with Program and Project Managers to identify assess and manage change impacts risks dependencies and stakeholder needs throughout the project lifecycle providing timely insights and recommendations to support informed decision making and successful project outcomes.
- Design and deliver stakeholder engagement communications workshops training and business readiness activities to drive adoption and successful transition to new ways of working.
- Collaborate with SMEs and enabling functions including People & Culture Communications and Stakeholder Engagement to ensure coordinated consistent and effective change learning and engagement outcomes.
- Work closely with project teams portfolio stakeholders and fellow Change practitioners within the portfolio to coordinate delivery activities monitor progress contribute to reporting and governance processes and provide a seamless change experience across impacted stakeholder groups.
What you will bring to the role
- Relevant qualifications in Change Management Business Commerce or a related discipline. Change Management Institute (CMI) accreditation PROSCI certification and experience within the energy or utilities sector will be highly regarded.
- Proven experience delivering complex business and technology change initiatives with the ability to influence stakeholders build trusted relationships and drive successful outcomes across both technical and business teams.
- Expertise in developing and executing fit for purpose change management strategies and plans including change impact assessments stakeholder engagement communications learning training and business readiness activities.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities navigate competing stakeholder needs and deliver outcomes in dynamic and fast-paced environments.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of Enterprise Change Management practices tools and reporting by applying lessons learned sharing insights and supporting practice maturity initiatives.
- Sound understanding of project delivery frameworks and methodologies including Agile Waterfall and Lean with experience working across the full project lifecycle.
- A collaborative proactive and commercially minded approach with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently while contributing to shared team outcomes.
