- Up to a maximum of 5 months duration
- Full time/Part-time (3 days min.) casual position for an immediate start
- Peak period coverage between end of November 2026 March 2027
- Contact Centre Services coverage between 8:00am 7:00pm
- Higher Education Officer Level 2 casual rate $42.89 per hour super

Duties:
- Assist new students to navigate Student Online and enrol timetable access LMS and understand the Handbook.
- Answer general queries about studies such as study plans timetables & contact hours.
- Support students to build their personal Orientation Planner in time for O-Week.
- Refer students to ASK La Trobe or other stakeholders during the peak period for more detailed assistance for complex enquiries.
- Refer students to other services such as clubs and societies Medibank staff Overseas Students Health Cover (OSHC) enquiries Student IT
- General queries wayfinding and campus navigation books and book lists car parking on campus public transport to campus best coffee on campus uniform requirements (e.g. nursing).
- Assist and support Load Optimisation Outbound Call Campaigns as part of our outreach support by contacting students via phone and/or email.
- Assist and support Inbound phone enquiries for new students.
Requirement to be available full time for peak periods between December 2026 (including 24 & 28-31 December 2026 for VTAC rounds) up to February/March 2027. Part time i.e. 3-4 days can be discussed and negotiated with the right incumbent/s.
Incumbent must be available to work between the hours of 8:00am 7:00pm Monday to Friday.
Selection criteria:
The successful candidate must demonstrate possession of the following knowledge and skills:
- Is a current student or recently graduated student of La Trobe University.
- Ability to follow instructions and procedures.
- Knowledge of various student software applications used for administrative tasks eg Student Portal Allocate LMS.
- An ability to work to given deadlines and to set standards.
- An ability to communicate information in a courteous and effective manner.
- A flexible approach to duties and a positive attitude to work.
- Willingness to learn.
