Our aim is to improve the lives of the most vulnerable people in Australia and across our Support for Trafficked People Program (STPP) assists people in Australia who have experienced modern the roleThe position provides casework support within the NSW/ACT Support for Trafficked People Program (STPP) to individuals who have experienced exploitation. They will provide individualised support to clients to identify strengths and needs and assist in setting and attaining identified goals. The position may work across multiple programs and/or functions of the case work service delivery. They will work with other agencies and organisations in a collaborative approach to source appropriate support for you will bringDemonstrated sound technical knowledge and proven ability to provide high quality specialist casework support and case managementDemonstrated understanding of how to holistically assess complex client needs including conducting risk assessments and developing effective case plans and safety planningDemonstrated cultural competence and the ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds who have experienced grief loss torture and trauma and who experience ongoing safety risksA sound understanding of the social political issues and needs impacting migrants in transition (including people seeking asylum and people impacted by human trafficking slavery and slavery like practices).Demonstrated effectiveness in contributing to interagency collaboration and ability to lead collaboration advocate and network with internal and external stakeholders (who can include statutory and law enforcement agencies)Demonstrated expertise in applying trauma-informed strengths-based and person-centred approaches that promote client choice agency safety and working with people who have experienced exploitation violence abuse coercion human trafficking forced marriage or other forms of vulnerability and ability to coordinate complex service responses navigate multiple service systems and facilitate effective referrals and advocacy across health legal migration housing and community participates in reflective practice supervision and demonstrates reflective casework principlesRelevant degree in Social Work/Social and Community and relevant experience is required for this roleA Working with Children Check is a mandatory requirement of this that act for you while you act for humanityWork flexibility:Australian Red Cross operates under ahybrid working modelwhich includes two days on-site and two days from home in this 4 day a week position with the option to work from the office each day if wellbeing:In addition to your salary you can take advantage of salary packaging that could provide you with a great way to reduce the amount of tax you pay - and get more from your salary.
