About the Role
The Career Consultant is a responsible for providing career coaching and careers advisory services to diverse cohorts of Deakin students and graduates. These services will include providing career coaching and advice to students and graduates on campus and in the Cloud supporting the career education and talent development programs within the Graduate Employment Division and contributing to the broader DeakinTALENT programs and services.
As a Career Consultant you will:
- Analyse complex information and provide insights to support decision-making
- Identify opportunities for improvement and implement change through appropriate channels
- Prioritise work and evaluate progress to deliver outcomes
- Provide constructive feedback to support team capability
- Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships
To be successful youll have:
- A Degree with substantial subsequent relevant experience; and
- A postgraduate qualification as assessed by the Career Industry Council of Australia (CICA) professional association as appropriate for professional practice
- Proven experience in the application of careers theory model(s) to the effective delivery of career coaching and related career development and application support services.
- Track record in successful provisioning of career counselling/coaching and case managing to diverse cohorts of university students.
- Strong analytical capability and ability to influence stakeholders
