The Role

This roleplays a pivotal frontline carer role with a particular focus on nutrition and dining supporting residents to live a life of fulfilment through the delivery of person-centred care and support according to needs and preferences of each resident in everyday practice.Assistingin the preparation delivery presentation and serving of resident meals.

Your responsibilities will be to provide care and support aligned withresidentspreferred daily routines with a strong focus on:

  • Meal choices and individual nutrition

  • Consideration of allergies and food intolerances

  • Enhancing the overall dining experience

  • Assistresidents with mealselectionand meal timing preferences

  • Prepare and set up dining areas to meet individual needs and preferences

  • Actively engage with residents to provide social and emotional support during mealtimes

  • Use empathy and kindness to foster a positive dining experience

  • Promote resident choice and control to uphold dignity and respect

  • Prepare andmaintaindining experience areas and provide meal service to meet individual resident choices

  • Maintainaccuratenutrition and diet information as

  • Assistwith quality food preparationin accordance withthe Food Safety Plan Bolton Clarke Food Standards and Dining Framework

  • Assistwithmaintainingkitchen stock supplies as

To be successful you will have:

  • Demonstrated customer service skills

  • A compassionate and caring attitude

  • Previousrestaurant and/or commercial kitchen experience (highly regarded)

  • Willingness to take direction from others

  • Reliability and shift flexibility

  • Good timemanagement skills and the ability to work well under pressure

  • Valid working rights in Australia (Passport Birth Certificate etc)

  • Complete a police checkand or a NDIS Workers Check (or willingness to obtain) prior to commencement
