About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly organised and customer-focused Business Support Officer to provide efficient and professional administrative support to our Open Space and Community Facilities Unit. This diverse and rewarding role is responsible for delivering high-quality administrative services across a broad range of functions including document preparation meeting coordination records management customer service project support and event administration. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of the Unit through accurate data management effective communication and a strong commitment to quality service delivery.

Working closely with internal stakeholders contractors community members and external agencies you will support a variety of operational and project-based activities including development application referrals cemetery administration information requests process improvement initiatives and the coordination of meetings training and events. This position is ideal for a proactive and detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment demonstrates excellent organisational skills and is committed to providing exceptional administrative support to both internal and external customers.

Remuneration

$36.05 - $41.75 per hour plus superannuation

About You

You are a highly organised and proactive administration professional who thrives in a busy environment and takes pride in delivering exceptional support and customer service. With a Certificate III in Business Administration (or equivalent) and demonstrated experience in an administrative role you have the ability to effectively manage competing priorities maintain accuracy and attention to detail and consistently meet deadlines.

You possess advanced skills in the Microsoft Office Suite and are confident using Electronic Document Management Systems and Customer Request Management Systems. Your strong written and verbal communication skills enable you to build positive relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders while your research analytical and problem-solving abilities allow you to contribute to effective outcomes across a variety of projects and enquiries. You are equally comfortable working independently or as part of a collaborative team and have a sound understanding of the Local Government regulatory environment and relevant legislation. Most importantly you are committed to providing high-quality customer service and supporting the delivery of services that positively impact the community. A current Class C Driver Licence is required.
