About the role

An exciting opportunity exists for a Business Intelligence Specialist to join the Finance team within the NSW Department of Education.

In this role you will lead the delivery of Finances business intelligence strategy providing data-driven insights reporting solutions and visualisations that support strategic decision making across the Department.

Working closely with Finance leaders and stakeholders you will help strengthen reporting capability improve data governance and ensure high-quality financial information and reporting outcomes.

About you


You are a strategic and solutions-focused professional with strong experience in business intelligence financial reporting and data analytics within a large and complex environment.

To be successful in this role you will demonstrate:

  • Extensive experience in business intelligence financial reporting and data visualisation
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capability with high attention to detail
  • Experience working with large and complex data sets while ensuring data quality and integrity
  • Knowledge of data governance reporting frameworks and business intelligence best practice
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills including the ability to influence and provide advice to non-technical audiences
