We are looking for a Business Development Representative (BDR) to join our growing sales team in Sydney. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for someone early in their sales career who is eager to develop into a future Account Manager or Sales Executive. This would be an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate.

Working as part of a collaborative high-performing team youll engage with prospective customers qualify opportunities and help generate new business growth across Australia. Candidates with an engineering background or degree are particularly encouraged to apply as many of our customers operate in technical manufacturing engineering and industrial environments.

What Youll Be Doing

Lead Generation & Qualification

  • Engage with inbound enquiries and outbound prospecting campaigns.
  • Identify qualify and nurture prospective customers through the sales pipeline.
  • Conduct discovery conversations to understand business needs and challenges.
  • Position our solutions effectively and create interest in our products and services.
  • Convert marketing-qualified leads into sales-qualified opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate records and activity tracking within CRM systems.

Territory & Pipeline Management

  • Manage and prioritise active and nurture-stage opportunities.
  • Build relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate closely with Account Managers and wider sales teams.
  • Support marketing initiatives webinars events and promotional campaigns.
  • Maintain visibility of pipeline activity and performance metrics.

Professional Development

  • Participate in ongoing sales training coaching and development programs.
  • Develop expertise in our products solutions and target industries.
  • Build commercial awareness and sales skills that support future career progression.
  • Contribute to a positive team culture and support new team members as you grow.

What Were Looking For

Essential

  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Confidence engaging with customers over phone email and virtual meetings.
  • Strong attention to detail and CRM discipline.

Preferred

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering Business Marketing Technology or a related discipline.
  • Engineering degree or technical background highly regarded.
  • Previous customer-facing experience.
  • Exposure to sales lead generation business development or customer success is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and Microsoft Office applications.
