Business Development Manager MICE

Oaks Cypress Lakes Resort is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager - MICE to join our team and play a key role in growing business opportunities for one of the Hunter Valleys premier resort destinations.

As the Business Development Manager - MICE you will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities developing strategic client relationships and driving revenue growth across corporate meetings incentives conferences and events (MICE) segments. With a focus on both new business development and account management you will position Oaks Cypress Lakes Resort as a leading destination for conferences retreats group stays and corporate experiences.

What Youll Be Doing

• Develop and execute sales strategies to increase corporate and MICE revenue for Oaks Cypress Lakes Resort.
• Identify and secure new business opportunities through proactive prospecting networking industry events and targeted sales activity.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients event planners and key industry partners.
• Manage and grow existing accounts to maximise repeat business and long-term partnerships.
• Conduct client meetings site inspections and familiarisation visits to showcase the resorts accommodation conference facilities golf and leisure offerings.
• Prepare proposals negotiate contracts and secure group bookings and events.
• Collaborate with operational teams including Events Front Office Reservations and Revenue to deliver exceptional guest experiences.
• Maintain strong market knowledge monitor competitor activity and identify opportunities to increase revenue.
• Maintain accurate CRM records sales reporting forecasts and pipeline activity.

Qualifications :

You are a motivated and commercially focused sales professional who thrives on building relationships and achieving results. You will have:

• Proven experience in hospitality sales with a strong background in corporate and MICE markets.
• A successful track record of generating new business and growing client portfolios.
• Excellent communication negotiation and relationship management skills.
• Strong understanding of the hotel conference and events industry.
• The ability to develop and implement effective sales strategies.
• Exceptional organisation time management and attention to detail.
• Experience managing sales pipelines and CRM systems.
• A proactive approach with the ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a wider resort team.
• A passion for delivering outstanding service and creating memorable client experiences.
