About the role

This role leads how the department prepares for responds to and learns from disruptions shaping a practical business focused approach to continuity and crisis management.


As the Business Continuity Risk & Resilience Lead you will partner closely with business areas to deliver continuity and crisis management services strengthen the departments resilience framework and build capability across the organisation.


You will:

  • Maintain and update the departments business continuity and management framework
  • Lead periodic review of business continuity and crisis management assessment processes and outcome
  • Partner with business areas to identify critical functions and ensure continuity arrangements are practical and aligned to operational priorities
  • Provide specialist advice and support to embed resilience framework arrangements and guide effective response during incident and crisis
  • Prepare high-quality reports and briefings for executive leadership and Audit and Risk Committee (ARC).
  • Deliver training and workshops to build awareness uplift resilience capability and embed continuity practices across the Department

About you

We are seeking someone who can expand the function beyond annual assessments to establish a more integrated robust and responsive resilience framework across the department.


You will bring:


Essential requirements of the role

  • Tertiary qualifications in Business Continuity Management or a related field and/or equivalent workplace experience.
  • Current and valid Working with Children Check Clearance for paid employment.
  • Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the value of public education.
