Job Summary

As a Business Analyst and part of the Product Management Team. youll play a critical role in bridging client needs and technical solutions translating complex business requirements into clear actionable outcomes that drive client satisfaction and product excellence across global markets.

What Youll Do

  • Elicit document and manage detailed business and system requirements across the full development lifecycle ensuring clarity for both clients and internal teams.

  • Partner with engineering design and operations teams to produce and maintain solution documentation and supporting materials.

  • Carry out functional and thematic reviews of existing detection solutions ensuring accuracy of the models and appropriate application to regulatory requirements.

  • Produce functional specifications user documentation and supporting materials to ensure our solution is functioning correctly and in line with expectations.

  • Contribute to project planning risk identification and scope management while identifying opportunities to enhance and develop the solution.

What Youll Bring

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science Business Finance or a related field or equivalent practical experience.

  • 2 years of experience in financial markets capital markets trading operations and/or compliance.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail.

  • Strong understanding of compliance and regulatory environments within the financial services domain.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; hands-on experience or familiarity with AI tools.

Nice to Have

  • Practical experience using Jira for task tracking and project management

  • Experience working with Confluence for documentation knowledge sharing and collaboration

  • Previous experience in a Trade Surveillance role within a compliance capacity

This position will be located in Sydney Australia and offers the opportunity for a hybrid work environment at least 2 days a week in-office subject to change.

This is a permanent full-time role so candidates should have full working rights in Australia. To be eligible to apply you must have Australian citizenship or permanent residency status.
