About the Role
As a Bus Driver at Metroyoullhelp keep Tasmania moving-safely reliably and with passengers to work school appointments and community activities playing a vital role in everyday life across the state.

Youdontneedpreviousbus driving experience. If you can safely drive a carwellteach you the rest. Our six-week paid training program is designed to build confidence gradually with hands-on support clear expectations and experienced with a Medium Rigid (Metro-specific) licence and receive ongoing guidance onceyoureon the road.

Youllnever be left to figure things out alone. Our drivers are supported by clear safety procedures strong fatigue management modern buses and supervisors who encourage questions and prioritise wellbeing.

Skills Experience and WhatWereLooking For
Current full Australian drivers licence (held for at least 12 months)
Full working rights in Australia
Hold or have already applied for Registration to Work with Vulnerable People (Tasmania)
Strong commitment to safetyprofessionalismand respectful customer service

We value skills gained from many backgrounds including customer service care roles hospitality retail communityworkand people returning to the workforce.

WhatWellTake Care Of
Metro will cover the cost of:
National Police Check
Pre-employmentmedical assessment including Drug and Alcohol testing
Public Passenger Vehicle (PPV) licence
