The Role
Engaging with residentsencouragingand supporting them to engage in the outing
Putting equipment (e.g. mobility aids) and resident shopping into the bus
Folding and unfolding mobility aids
Staying with residents to allow staff to attend to others needs
Aiding residents with simple mobilisation including pushing a resident in a wheelchair (where trained to do so)
Sharefeedbackwith theLifestyle Officer/ Lifestyle Coordinator at the end of your shift
Delivera high levelof customer service including thetimelyprovision of agreed services to residents
Drivein accordance withroad and safety requirementsmaintainingdue care at all times
To be successful:
MR class licence for driving buses of 22 passenger capacity or less
Previousexperience using lifting equipment and assistive devices (desirable)
Ability to use computer software (Word and Excel)
Experience with wheelchair access vehicles and wheelchair tie down system (desirable)
NDIS Worker Check (or willingness to obtain prior to commencement)
Complete a police check
