About the role and where you will be working:

We are seeking a dedicated and organised Business Support Officer / Rostering Officer to join our team at Germanus Kent House on a full time basis working Monday to Friday. Accommodation on offer!

In this pivotal role you will provide high quality administrative and rostering support helping to ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of the home while supporting exceptional care and service delivery for our residents. As a key point of contact for residents families visitors and employees you will play an important role in maintaining efficient processes coordinating workforce administration and contributing to a positive and welcoming environment.

Located in the heart of Broome Germanus Kent House is a modern aged care home that reflects the unique beauty and culture of the Kimberley region. Our dedicated team of nurses care staff hospitality employees and allied health professionals work together to provide person centred care and support. We are committed to delivering culturally appropriate services that enable residents to maintain strong connections with their families community and culture creating a warm and inclusive environment where residents can truly feel at home.

Your responsibilities will includebut not limited to:

  • Provide high quality administrative support to the Home Manager staff residents and families.
  • Coordinate and manage resident admissions discharges and associated documentation.
  • Maintain accurate resident records facility registers and archiving processes.
  • Act as a key point of contact by managing phone enquiries visitors contractors and general reception duties.
  • Support day to day facility operations including maintenance requests reporting and stakeholder coordination.
  • Process invoices resident charges purchase orders stocktakes and office supply orders.
  • Assist with employee onboarding orientation uniforms IT setup and workforce administration.
  • Support rostering functions including timesheet management clock variance reporting agency coordination and roster handovers.
  • Ensure compliance with organisational policies confidentiality requirements infection control measures and quality standards.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives staff education records and the overall effective operation of the home.

About you:

Were looking for someone who is highly organised approachable and passionate about providing exceptional support to both residents and staff. Youll bring previous experience in administration rostering scheduling or business support with experience in aged care healthcare disability services or a similar environment being highly regarded. You thrive in a busy setting can effectively manage competing priorities and have a keen eye for detail. With strong communication and interpersonal skills youre confident building positive relationships with a wide range of stakeholders and take pride in delivering outstanding customer service.

Most importantly youll be a proactive team player who enjoys contributing to a supportive and resident focused workplace.

To be considered for this role youll need:

  • Previous experience in an administration business support rostering or scheduling role.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a busy environment.
  • Strong organisational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer focused approach.
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills particularly in Outlook Word and Excel.
  • Experience using rostering payroll time and attendance or workforce management systems (desirable).
  • Previous experience in aged care healthcare disability or community services (highly regarded).
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with professionalism and discretion.
  • Strong problem solving skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
