About the role


We are seeking a highly capable Briefing & Correspondence Lead to drive and coordinate the development review and submission of high-level communications on behalf of the Departments Finance directorate.


This role sits at the centre of executive communication ensuring briefings correspondence and submissions are clear accurate and aligned with Departmental priorities. You will work closely with senior leaders including the Chief Financial Officer and Deputy Chief Financial Officer providing strategic advice and managing the flow of critical information to support informed decision-making.

About you



You are an experienced communicator with a strong ability to translate complex information into clear concise and impactful messaging.


You bring:

  • Proven experience preparing high-level briefings and correspondence for senior executives or government stakeholders.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail.
  • The ability to manage competing priorities and deliver under tight timeframes.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to influence and collaborate across teams.
  • Sound judgement discretion and the ability to handle sensitive or contentious matters.
  • A proactive mindset with the ability to anticipate issues and provide strategic advice.

Your ability to build relationships navigate complexity and deliver high-quality timely communications will be critical to success in this role.
