Civmecs Gladstone Maintenance division delivers specialised maintenance and shutdown services to refinery and heavy industrial clients in Queensland partnering with operational teams to keep critical assets running safely and efficiently.

As a Boilermaker you will perform welding and fabrication work across maintenance shutdowns and project works ensuring quality and compliance with Australian Welding Standards

The Role
  • Perform maintenance shutdowns and project works
  • Apply welding techniques including FCAW and MMAW
  • Interpret engineering and detail fabrication drawings
  • Mark out steel components per fabrication drawings and specs
  • Comply with company Quality Control systems and processes
  • Maintain a solid understanding of Australian Welding Standards
  • Ensure work meets specifications and standards
  • Conduct welding across day and night shifts as required
  • Support shutdown teams throughout project duration
  • Maintain safe work practices across refinery operations
  • Identify and address fabrication or welding defects
  • Provide quality workmanship on refinery assets
About You

To be successful in the role you will possess the following:

  • Australian Recognised Trade Certificate
  • Blue Medipass (desirable)
  • Construction White Card
  • Work Safely at Heights (desirable)
  • Enter and Work in Confined Space (desirable)
  • Gas Test Atmospheres(desirable)
  • Minimum 5 years shutdown / site experience
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment Medical and regular / random Drug and Alcohol screens
  • Additional Tickets will be highly regarded
