It delivers legaladvice further assistance casework representation duty lawyer servicesoutreach community legal education and advocacy to provide access to justiceto the WA community.
The Opportunity
We are seeking passionate and experienced people to join ourvolunteer Board of Directors. As a volunteer Board Director you will play acritical role in providing strategic oversight ensuring strong governancepractices and supporting the achievement of our organisational collaboratively with fellow Board Directors and the Executive Team youwill help guide the organisation through opportunities challenges and futuregrowth.
Key Responsibilities
Contribute to the development and oversight oforganisational strategy.
Ensure effective governance risk managementand compliance.
Monitor organisational performance and financialsustainability.
Support the achievement of the organisationsmission vision and values.
Attend and actively participate in Board andcommittee meetings.
Act as an ambassador and advocate for theorganisation.
Maintain high standards of ethical conduct andfiduciary responsibility.
About You
We are seeking candidates who demonstrate:
Previous Board executive or senior leadershipexperience.
Strong strategic thinking and decision-makingcapabilities.
An understanding of governance principles anddirector responsibilities.
Excellent communication and stakeholderengagement skills.
Commitment to diversity inclusion and ethicalleadership.
Passion for the organisations purpose andvalues.
Desirable Skills and Experience
