Job Summary

The Ritz Cinemas is on the hunt for our next Bartender / Assistant Manager. If you know how to make a great cocktail and have some leadership experience under your belt this could be the role for you!

About The Role:

Youll be stepping into a key leadership position working closely with the Cinema General Managers to shape lead and elevate our food & beverage experience. Our bar concept is already something special but were looking for someone who can bring their own style energy and ideas to take it even further. Youll split your time between running the bar and leading cinema shifts so theres plenty of variety to keep you interested and opportunity to grow your customer service sales and leadership skills.

Youll be:

  • A customer-service champion who knows how to create a great customer experience
  • A hands-on leader who is ready to jump behind the bar and help out the team
  • A problem-solver who can make quick decisions when needed on shift
  • An all-rounder who can juggle multiple priorities while ensuring shifts runs smoothly efficiently and with some fun and personality!

The Ritz built in 1937 and located in the heart of Randwick is one of Sydneys beloved landmark cinemas. Were one of only two original Art Deco cinemas remaining in Sydney and are known for showcasing the best in Arthouse Retrospect and Film Festival Cinema. What You Bring

Were always looking for fresh ideas and perspectives soeven if you havent worked in cinema before or dont tick all the boxes wedstill love to hear from you!

Youll ideally bring:

  • Experience in a cinema bar hospitality or venue leadership role
  • Confidence running a busy service and leading teams on shift
  • A strong sense of customer experience and attention to detail
  • Curiosity and enthusiasm for F&B trends and innovation
  • Solid Microsoft Office skills (Excel helps a lot here)
  • A love of cinema culture and storytelling

The Details:

This is a full-time hospitality role.

Typical shifts:

  • Mostly afternoon/evening (approx. 4pm 12am)
  • Some 3pm 11pm shifts and occasional day shifts
  • Weekend and public holiday availability required
